COVID-19 Update
Message from Bob Newbould Director of Kingston Funerals.
Kingston Funeral Groups number one priority has always been our families. Combined with the advice from experts on COVID 19 we must implement our procedural and operational changes.
As of today, 9th of July 2020 Funerals held in the Melbourne Metropolitan and the Mitchell shire are restricted to 10 mourners plus the funeral staff and Celebrant/Clergy.
Funeral arrangements held in our Cheltenham office will be restricted to 2 family members. We will not be attending family homes for arrangements during this time.
Anyone entering our office will be temperature tested and asked to sanitise their hands.
Clothing for your loved one will need to be delivered to our Kingston office.
At a funeral service, all mourners will be temperature tested and asked to sanitise their hands.
If at this time your temperature is not in the guidelines, we will retest in 5 -10 minutes.
At this stage if your temperature is not within the normal range, you will unfortunately be asked to not enter the chapel.
Kingston Funerals will live stream all funeral services where streaming is available.
No refreshments will be held in the Kingston Chapel.
Cremated remains will be collected at the Cemetery by family. Only cremations that take place at Lake Mulwala will be available at the Kingston office for collection.
We will be collecting a register of all attendees at Funeral Services, as stipulated by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. This register will be held securely by Kingston Funerals, only to be released upon official request by the Health Department.
